Instructions

  1. Small sam 1119a

To create these two grunge/steampunk cardigans I’ve used 4 pair of leggings that were slightly too big. I liked the fabrics and they seemed perfect for cardigans.

  2. Small sam 1120a

I’ve used a simple long sleeve t-shirt pattern. I found mine free on burda. I cut the waistbands off the leggings and cut the pattern pieces out. I cut the front part of the pattern as two pieces.

  3. Small sam 1184a

I like the gathering on the leggings but it seemed too bulky for sleeves, so I attached it to the bottom. I think it gives it a real steampunk quality.

  4. Small sam 1158a

This is a quick project as no hemming or finishing was necessary. To fasten the cardigan I used a lace brooch.
