I LOVE Bubble tea, and I always find it difficult to keep the tapioca balls chewy (I usually take them to go and etc) Do you have any advice to help keep the pearls chewy? (I also use the 5 minute types-I don't have too much time in the morning to make the 1 hour type, if that narrows down more choices.)

This sounds tasty. I'll just have to find somewhere that carries the Sago/Tapioca balls though.

Roma - the jelly bits don't really taste like anything, they just add a jelly texture to it.

Lola - that's okay, I had never heard of them before I tried it. They're basically these little balls like jelly, have a look in a Chinese supermarket, if there's one near you. You could just dice up some normal jelly in to cubes and use that as an alternative.

mmm, it looks very nice
but i have a question..

"Take a plastic, take-out cup and pop the sago balls in. If you can't find sago anywhere (it can be tricky to find) you could substitute them for tapioca balls or even green grass jelly."

what is sago? and what is tapioca balls and what is green grass jelly =D

my god I'm being stupid...
