Sarah, the painting doesn't need large quantities of glitter... I bought small packets of each colour and they were more than enough.
That is so cool! I did something like that with glitter.. I painted an absinthe bottle and made a fairy out of glitter to sit on the bottle. Yours is much cooler, though.
