Why not hand-make your own gift! You can make a glitter globe using a (jam) jar, glitter, acrylic paint and shrink plastic. Use waterproof markers to draw patterns onto the stars, adding your own twist to the globe. A derivative of the well-known snow globe, this glitter globe is a fun home décor craft project for anyone who loves a bit of sparkle.

Take a sheet of shrink plastic and star punches in various sizes. Punch some stars out of the plastic.
Use the waterproof IDenti pens to draw coloured patterns onto the punched-out stars.
Using the hand punch, make a small hole in each star. Then place the shrink plastic in the oven at 160C and leave to shrink for 2-3 minutes.
Take a piece of nylon thread for each star and tie it to the star. Stick the other end of the thread to the inside of the lid using hard-plastic glue.
Fill the glass jar with glitter, water and a drop of glycerine. Glycerine is what produces the whirling effect and is available from pharmacies.
Now glue down the lid of the jar using hard-plastic glue to make it watertight. To finish, you can paint the lid with multiple layers of acrylic paint and glitter paint.
