Glazed sweet sausage bites with a spicy kick. Worthy of a wedding reception, but humble and easy enough for game day appetizers. Recipe adapted from Jacques Pepin's More Fast Food My Way.

You Will Need (5 things)
- 1 c. Cranberry, Pomegranate Juice
- 2 tbsp. Spicy Ketchup or Chipotle Sauce
- 1 tbsp. Maple Syrup
- a few dashes of Tabasco Sauce
- 13 oz. Chicken sausage, cut into rounds
Steps (6 steps, 30 minutes)
-
1
Combine the juice, ketchup or chipotle sauce, maple syrup, and tabasco in medium skillet.
-
2
Bring mixture to a boil. Let boil 4-5 minutes or until syrup begins to form.
-
3
Taste the syrup. If you like more spice, add a few more dashes of tabasco. If it's too spicy, add a little more maple syrup.
-
4
Add the slices of sausage to the syrup. Cook the sausages on high heat. Turn a few times so the syrup covers all sides well.
-
5
Continue cooking until the syrup reduces almost completely and coats the sausages completely. About 5-8 minutes.

Serve with toothpicks and enjoy!
