I was sick of looking at my plain boring cork board and had heaps of jewellery around my room with no home, SO! I decided to make a jewellery board with some material I already had! I don't have photos for all of the steps but I can give you a text run through =)
I was sick of looking at my plain boring cork board and had heaps of jewellery around my room with no home, SO! I decided to make a jewellery board with some material I already had! I don't have photos for all of the steps but I can give you a text run through =)
First thing is gather together a cork board (size is up to you) that preferably has a wooden frame, paints, scrapbook paper, ribbon, tacks, hooks and any other decoration or supply's.
I find it easier to first paint around the border so that you don't mess the paper! I put on a white undercoat and then covered with pink splotches to give it a bit of pattern, i left the outside of the frame plain white
Once all your paint is dry, Pin down the paper using the gold ( or whatever colour fits your scheme) tacks and make sure the paper is secure
Then add hanging hooks to the board spaced out evenly to hang your jewellery from, so think about length and width of the items
Now add all of your jewellery and you are complete! Hang it on your wall to show off to your friends! Or give it away as a present =)
