I made this because I wanted an Uglydoll but I wanted to customise it so I made this at the weekend. I would recomend using old clothes and buttons for this make which saves money and it is eco-friendly.

Gather all of the things you need and lay them out on the table
Draw the main template on your A4 sheet of paper and cut it out (HINT: use a small plate/bowl to draw around for the top od the head) Draw the lips and/or mouth onto paper and cut out
Take your fabric and fold it evenly in half - lining up the edges - and pin the template onto the fabric Draw around the template with tailors chalk and cut around it leaving about a one centimeter margin for seam allowance
Take the template off and re-pin the two halfs together and mark a two inch gap at the top before you start sewing as this will be the hole to put the stuffing in Sew the two peices together - I recomend you use back-stitch
Turn the doll inside-out
Pin the mouth templates to the felt and cut out (you do not need a margin) Sew or glue them onto the face but not too far up as you need to attatch the eyes
Take two fairly big buttons - preferably slightly different sizes - and sew/glue them onto the face just above the mouth Take three small pompoms, buttons, sequins, beads or jems and sew/glue them on as jacket buttons
Fill the doll with the polystyrene filling and spread it about the body evenly Stitch up the head using blind stitch or running stitch
Now you are finished! Enjoy!
