Description

This easy but eye-catching pillow really brightens up your living room!

Instructions

  1. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 154824 step2

I made my pillow 12" X 12" so I just used a standard piece of scrapbook paper for my pattern and added 1/2 an inch around for seam allowance. Then I cut it out.

  2. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 154910 step3

Draw a circle in the center of your pillow that takes up the majority of the pillow.

  3. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 154930 step4

Then use the masking tape to make a random fractured pattern.

  4. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 154941 step5

Now the fun part! Portion some mod podge into your cups/bowls/plastic containers.

  5. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 155000 glitter2

Add one color of glitter to each container and mix.

  6. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 155007 glitter3

Paint your glitter concoction onto the section you desire. Repeat til the whole circle is covered.

  7. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 155013 glitterdone

When its all dry see if it needs another coat, if not add a finishing layer of 'podge and let it dry. When that is dry you can peel your tape off and see the awesome design!

  8. Small 102352 2f2014 06 07 145600 sewing1

Pin the two squares right sides together and sew around with a 1/2 in. inseam. Stop 2-3 inches from where you started.

  9. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 155042 tasselstep

Make 4 tassels out of your embroidery thread. I used half a hank for each tassel.

  10. Small 102352 2f2014 06 04 155105 sewing%2bon

Turn your pillow inside out and sew your tassels onto the all the corners except the one closest to the hole.

  11. Small 102352 2f2014 06 07 145610 stuffing

Stuff your pillow, starting at the corners and working your way inward. When its all stuffed, hand sew the hole closed and then sew on your final tassel!
