Because we all want to decorate our Ked's
Hand Sewn Gators on Ked's Shoes

  • Step 1

Figure out where you want to put your gator.
Personally I think the best places are the sides because the toes are really hard to get to from the inside.

  • Step 2

    Pencil in your gator outline.
I did mine freehand. But there are a lot of great images you can find on google to help you if you need it.

  • Step 3

Thread your need with your thread and begin on the inside of the shoe.
Continue on to finish your entire gator.
Use black thread for the little eye dot.

Tip: Use a thimble to help push the needle through otherwise sometimes it is a little tough.

  • Step 4

    Add your extras:
    1. Shoelaces
-You can put beads on them for more color if you want
    2. Tie little Orange bows and hand sew onto the shoe from the inside.
    3. I painted U F on the toes because I could not get my needle all the way down in the toes.
I used acrylic paint in Orange and Puff paint in Blue to outline. Super easy and can be stenciled on.

Well...I guess I have to make some "Dawg" keds. Unless you're not from FL (as the colors suggest) But I don't really do sports anyways, so I guess it doesn't matter! lol

I do adore keds though. They've always been my favorite!
