The cosmos are at your fingertips... in the form of a dyed egg!
So I was egg dying and wanted to do something interesting and this is what I came up with!
I used the normal boxed egg dyes that you mix with vinegar to do this. Also I didn't have purple so I only used blue and pink. I'm sure purple could fit in somewhere.

  • How to make a decorative egg. Galaxy Easter Eggs - Step 1
    Step 1

First take your egg and a clear wax crayon (they typically come with the egg dying kit) and randomly draw dots and small crosses on the egg to look like stars.
I tried to put some of them in clumps and some spread out.

    Step 2

Put the drawn on egg into the normally prepared pink dye. Let it sit until it is totally pink, not just light pink.

Once you take it out, use a paper towel to rub some spots of the egg lighter. This is how you get the galaxy effect.
You should also see your stars.

Do the same thing for the blue. Put it in the dye for a few minutes, take it out, and rub some spots of it a little lighter. I recommend to letting the eggs dry in an egg carton.
I didn't have purple and I'm not sure if they normally do, so I only used pink and blue. I'm sure you could incorporate purple if you had it.
