It's so easy but looks so pretty.

Made two of these for my friend's birthdays! One in red and one in green to match their cars...they loved 'em.

Instructions

  • Step 1

    Steering wheel cozy

    - Cast on 160 stitches.
    - First row increase 1 stitch in every 4th stitch. (200sts)

    Needle no. 5

    Gauge: 18 stitches and 30 rows measures 10cm x 10cm.

The entire cover measures 115cm x 11 cm and has been knit in stockinette stitch.

    - Work 8 rows in white.
    - Join on red yarn and work two rows
    - Work 6 rows white
    - Work 2 rows in red, break off yarn.
    - Work 6 rows in white and knit 2 together in every fourth stitch on the 7th needle, next row cast off all stitches knitwise.

  • Step 2

    Anti-slip mat:

Cut a strip which has the same measurements as your cover.

Stitch it on using a sewing machine and leave the feet up; sew the strip on using the zigzag stitch. Sew three rows, one in the middle and two down the side.

Sew both ends of cover together by use of an embroidery needle.

cut 24 strands of yarn measuring 10cm each, tie 12 on one side of the cover and tie the other 12 on the opposite side.
