I just can’t decorate for a holiday without turning to my favorite crafting tool, burlap. I knew I wanted more Easter decor, so I have had this planned out for a while. I wanted a super cute Easter banner just like my Cute Valentine’s Day Banner. I love simple and easy crafts. Burlap and a little paint and pom poms are the way to go. Simple and perfect for a little Easter touch to my entertainment center. Anyone can make this simple and fun banner to put a sure Easter fun in your home. It looks fantastic on my entertainment center, but I know it would look great anywhere in your home you wished to hang it. The best part about this project is it was frugal. I bought a few yards of burlap last year and I continue to make great crafts with it. Burlap is ridiculously cheap ( especially if you have a coupon). I then used a some aqua & white chevron fabric I had left over from another project. Can I say once again, ridiculously cheap and simple craft this is?? I also had the twine and only had to purchase the bright, spring colored paint. So let’s get on to this Frugal Easter Bunny Banner. The best part about this project was I got to Skype with my sister while we did the craft together. We do this every so often. It’s super fun. If you haven’t done this before with family members who live far away. It’s a great time!

Instructions

  1. Cut a triangle bunting out with card stock. Make it a little extra long on the top. You will need a little more fabric to fold over & sew for your twine to hang it. I made seven buntings. Depending on how long you want it or what furniture you want it on. This will depend on how many you need to cut out.

  2. Small 116216 2f2017 03 31 023834 easter%2bbunny%2btemplate

For the bunny template. Right click the Bunny photo below to print. Print it on card stock. Cut the inside paper along the lines, so that you can paint the bunny on the fabric & burlap.

  3. Small 116216 2f2017 03 31 023857 bunny%2bbanner%2b 232

Now it’s time to paint those cute bunnies on. Place your template on top of bunting cut out with the burlap and fabric. Using a sponge paint brush paint the bunny on the middle of each bunting.

  4. Small 116216 2f2017 03 31 024011 bunny%2bbanner%2b 234

It’s time to pull out that sewing machine now. Fold the top of the bunting about an inch and sew a stitch across with the twin or jute sewed under the fold. Do this for all the bunting. Sew each bunting about 2 inches apart from each other.

  5. Small 116216 2f2017 03 31 024050 easter%2bbunny%2bbanner%2btutorial

It’s glue time. Glue a white pom pom to each little bunny. Now you can place that cute little Easter Bunny Banner where ever you please. I know you will have lots of complements on it!
