Description

Tie strands of dollar store poly rope to a piece of rope. Trim to the shape and size you like. For another dollar, add rhinestone trim. Use a button to make a connector.

Instructions

  1. Small necklace step 1

Start with brightly colored poly rope such as this type available from The Dollar Tree.

  2. Small necklace step 2

Cut sections double the width of your necklace. Unwind the rope strands.

  3. Small necklace step 3

Cut another piece of rope the length of your necklace plus about six inches. Tie the strands to the main rope.

  4. Small necklace step 8

Keep tying until your necklace is the size you want. Optional: For another dollar, add rhinestone trim. Cut a strip about six inches longer than your fringe. Sew or hot glue to necklace, bending around the curve as you go.

  5. Small necklace step 11

Make a connector by sewing on a button and making a loop. Trim off any excess rope.
