First off you're going to need some of these mini canvases. they're about the same as normal canvases, but a lot, lot smaller. I picked up one for each of my friends at just 99p each. bargain :D
next pick 'n' mix two or three colors that match the personality of the friend you're painting for.
paint a stripe straight down the middle of the canvas
now paint two contrasting stripes down each side of this. make sure the sides are covered too!
you can do this in portrait or landscape :)
get your fine liner and write the name of your friend in the middle of your canvas
add sparklies according to your friend's taste. you can add a loop of ribbon to hang it by if you'd like ^^
