Instructions

  1. Small 108306 2f2015 04 01 110123 french seams 1

    With the right sides of your fabric together, align your raw hem edges. Pin or tack together and stitch a 3⁄8in (1cm) seam along the edge.

    Trim the seam to 1⁄4in (5mm).

    Turn wrong side out and press with an iron. Pin or tack all the way along the seam and stitch a 3⁄8in (1cm) hem, thus encasing the raw edges. Finally, turn right side out and press.
