Beautiful and cheap wall art!

I'm very happy with these! Very easy, very quick, but unfortunately a bit messy if you use sequins... If you're like me, anyway. They're now hanging in my bathroom. Looking real pretty. **Test your fabric with fire to see how it burns beforehand. I used a burlap, but I hear satin works great.

Instructions

  1. Small 003 1321928204

Gather all of your materials! Sorry, I forgot the candle in this picture. ...What a lovely couple.

  2. Small 006 1321928318

Grab your fabric and cut out four circles (or however many you'd like). This makes one flower. **The circles end up shrinking a little, so factor that in!

  3. Small 008 1321928324

Cut some notches into your circles.

  4. Small 009 1321928358

Woohoo! the fun, but slightly dangerous part. Excited? ...No?... okay. Burn the edges of the flower petals to make them curl slightly. **Depending on the fabric, they will catch fire- some more quickly than others. Be careful and test your fabric before hand. I usually let mine catch fire, then blew them out. I really liked the smell too.

  5. Small 010 1321928508

Hot glue your four pieces together to make your flower.

  6. Small 014 1321928635

Embellish the centre however you'd like. I'm sure if you used a pretty brooch or something, that would look much better than sequins! **Note: there should be a mess on your table.

  7. Small 015 1321928674

Grab your frames and take the glass, paper, and any extra cardboard out. You will only need the frame itself and the back piece. Trace the glass or the back piece of the frame onto your decorative craft paper or fabric for the background.

  8. Small 017 1321928798

Pop the paper into your frame! Looks pretty enough as it is... doesn't it?

  9. Small 021 1321928857

Using hot glue, attach your flower to the middle of the paper.

    Viola! A messy masterpiece!
