This is a quick how to on folded ribbon roses. Details are in each image. Sorry it isn't as pretty as the resulting roses actually are. I just couldn't find it on the web,so I whipped this up. Happy to answer any questions.

Description

This is a quick how to on folded ribbon roses. Details are in each image. Sorry it isn't as pretty as the resulting roses actually are. I just couldn't find it on the web,so I whipped this up. Happy to answer any questions.

Instructions

  1. Small 1

Find Middle point of your ribbon and fold each side down towards you.

  2. Small 2

ALWAYS start with left tail. Fold across at a 45 degree angle. Repeat until you have 3-5 inches remaining.

  3. Small 3

    More images of previous step.

  4. Small 4

Now flip over and repeat the same 45 degree fold until you have about 3-5 inches left.

  5. Small 5

Use a pen or a pencil to gently push through the center hole. The wire will hold the folds in place.

  6. Small 6

Close up of pen through center

  7. Small 7

Now pull the tail through the center, remove pen ,of course. Twist until you get a rose that you like. If you mess up,just pull it through and start again. These roses are actually very strong and you can shape them however you want. If they get smooshed, just work it back into shape.

  8. Small 8

You can use floral wire to secure the bottom-or just twist the 2 tails together extra tightly. All done.
