My daughter wanted help making a winter hat that she could turn into a "zombie brain" hat that she saw here on the site. So, using a knitted hat as a pattern, I made the above hat for my daughter. This project took me about 2 hours because I don't have a sewing machine and had to hand sew the hat. HINT- To make a yarn "puff ball", wrap the yarn around your fingers (3-4 fingers held straightened out- wrap up to down and around). Using a strip of yarn, use that strip to tie TIGHTLY the middle of the wrapped yarn. Tie it in a knot. Then cut the ends (each end opposite the middle). Cut to shape. The type of yarn used determines how "shapely" your puff ball is.
