Imagine: Curling up with Hot Cocoa and this Blanket.

About

I made these blankets for Christmas last year. They were a big hit since winter can get really cold here in Michigan. I snuck in a blanket for myself too. Hehe.

NOTE: I am short. So 1.5 yards is a nice size for a large-ish throw/blanket. If you are looking for a bed covering I would say go with 2 yards, which is 6 feet.

You Will Need (2 things)

  • Needle And Thread Or Sewing Machine
  • 1 ½ yd Fleece Fabric

Steps (8 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Take your two pieces of fleece and put them right sides together. Or wrong sides outward.

  2. 2

Pin one side and sew it together.

  3. 3

Do this for two more sides.

  4. 4

On the last (forth) side, sew as you did the others but leave a 4 or 5 inch opening at the end.

  5. 5

Pull the blanket right ways out through the opening. Like you are making a GIGANTIC pillow.

  6. 6

Poke your finger through the hole and push the corners out so they aren't squished inside.

  7. 7

    Sew up the opening.

  8. 8

Now, you can stop here or add some quilt stitching (diagonals and boxes). Now
    Stay Warm! =^_^=
