Description

A cute way to style yours or your SOs flannel. I made this a while ago and didn't take any during pictures, so I hope my drawings can be of help!

Instructions

  1. Small 101409 2f2014 05 01 043950 image

So the top is what this flannel originally looked like.

  2. Small 101409 2f2014 05 01 212406 image

First draw a line like shown to mark where you will cut away the bottom of it. Then cut away a little under the line.

  3. Small 101409 2f2014 05 01 212424 image

Put it on inside out and then mark where it should be tucked in if it's too big. Pin in place and then run under the sewing machine.

  4. Cut the sleeves off and then hem the arm holes.

  5. Small 101409 2f2014 05 01 212433 image

Now this is the last and most time consuming part. Lay some lace over the back of your flannel. Draw the outline of the shoulder and neckline onto the lace. Pin the outline and then cut. Tuck the edges of the lace under, pin, and run under the sewing machine. You may make a mistake so use the seam ripper on the inside of the shirt so you don't damage the lace.

Now try it on. These are best if you wear them loosely so don't tie the knot too tight. Enjoy!
