You Will Need

  • How to make a rope bracelet. Fishtail Braided Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

Cut 6 pieces of yarn in equal length and tie a knot on the end of it

I am using a lighter color of yarn because it's easier to see. You can use up to 6 different colors, but I prefer to only use 2

  • How to make a rope bracelet. Fishtail Braided Bracelet - Step 3
    Step 3

Separate the 6 pieces of string into 2 groups

  • Step 4

The next few steps are kind of tricky if you don't know how to fishtail braid. If you don't, it's very easy to learn. And if you already know how to fishtail braid, this will be easy

  • How to make a rope bracelet. Fishtail Braided Bracelet - Step 5
    Step 5

If you don't know how to fishtail braid:

Start with bringing one strand of yarn over the rest of the group (as shown in picture). Bring another strand of yarn over the left group (or the opposite group of what you just brought over)

If you know how to fishtail braid:
Fishtail braid normally, as if you were doing it with hair, instead using 1 strand of string instead of a small group of hair

    Step 6

If you've continued Step 5 correctly, your bracelet should look like this so far

  • How to make a rope bracelet. Fishtail Braided Bracelet - Step 7
    Step 7

Tie a knot at the end of the string -- I know this looks small, but in person it isn't

  • Step 8

Enjoy! And I'd love to see your version!
