First Time Poppies For Heros

I havent knitted for about 10 years, but heard about a project to make poppies for heroes in any format and i decided to knit some for the auction. Once i found a pattern i could follow, i made about 8 in the end! 3 with the full leaf and stem, the rest with just the leaf! I used glitter red double knit and glitter black with sequins double knit (middle) and sometimes black buttons to finish off. Normal bright green double knit for the leaf and stem. I started off with size 3 knitting needles, but found size 2.5 in the shops, which seemed better for the pattern and thereby making it a better finished size!
