inspired by mail
I was inspired by mail, airmail, parcels that come in the mail...Iand though wouldn't it be cute to have a mail inspired gift bag!?

I made a small, mediun and medium-long version

  • How to make an envelope. Felted Gift Envelopes - Step 1
    Step 1

    first gather your supplies, the sewing machine the felt, the velcro fasenters

    then take one sheet of felt and cut about 2 inches off( the top/width),

    now on the longer peice cut the top two corners off(like the picture)

    now on the sheet with the corners cut off

    "put your stamp" and address on the sheet

    I used extra felt and sewed in on, you can use buttons for stamps and beads for addresses if you like. No limits on creativity

    now put the long sheet(stamp facing outwards) over the smaller sheet. Making sure the edges are even. Now stitch them together

    you are looking at the back of a stiched enevlope

    now on that tirangluar shaped flap, place your velcro(I used self sicking ones) and then place the other peice of velcro facing across from it

    tada now you have your envelope
