Description

Easy to sew felt heart wall decor. Makes a sweet house-warming gift.

Instructions

  1. Small 102258 2f2014 05 31 202920 img 1667edit

Cut out your pattern shapes. You should have one shape from pattern #1 with a negative heart in the middle, & two shapes from pattern #2. With embroidery thread, sew your bias tape in a loop onto one of your shapes from pattern #2.

  2. Small 102258 2f2014 05 31 202923 img 1670edit

Sew your shape from pattern #1 onto the top of your second shape from pattern #2. Only sew along the inside of the negative heart shape. Tie off.

  3. Small 102258 2f2014 05 31 202928 img 1674edit

Stitch into the negative heart space through the back. Then feed your alphabet beads through your needle onto the thread, & stitch through the front of your shape. Tie off.

  4. Small 102258 2f2014 05 31 202935 img 1675edit

Place your first heart shape from pattern #2 (the one with the loop) behind your second shape. The loop should be in between the two pieces. Sew the two pieces together using a overcast stitch. Do not sew around the heart entirely - leave an opening of an inch or two.

  5. Small 102258 2f2014 05 31 202943 img 1678edit

Fill your heart with the polyester filling. Finish stitching the entirety of the heart, closing it off. Tie off.
