Feathered headbands have become quite popular in the past few months. Here's an easy way to make your own.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Feather(s)
  • Headband
  • Glue
  • Button(s)

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Start out with a feather pad (for this particular project, I purchased one but it's relatively easy to make your own), a sturdy headband, buttons for embellishments, and glue. You can really use almost any kind, hot, craft or super.

  2. 2

Position the feather pad where you would like it on your headband, I recommend about an inch to two inches from the base of the headband. Run a line of glue directly onto the headband and press it to the pad.

  3. 3

I set the headband under a pile of books to let it set while I worked on the buttons but this is optional if your glue is quick drying or you have the patience to hold it together.

  4. 4

Start with a large "base" button and layer other coordinating buttons on top and around it. (For a simpler look, you can accent the headband with just one button.)

  5. 5

Glue the button to the base of the feather pad. Tada! Finished!

-Experiment with making your own feather pad, that way, you can get the exact look/style you desire.

-Try lots of different colored and sized buttons!

-Something usually overlooked on these headbands is the band itself. Try different widths, colors and textures.
