Instructions

  1. Small photo feb 28 9 50 25 am

Get your fave fashion magazine and decide what cropped image you want as your brooch. Trace out the shape using the wooden piece as your template. Do this with two images of your choice.

  2. Small photo feb 28 9 52 37 am

Carefully cut out the images with a craft knife. I made my circles a bit smaller than the wooden piece so a little bit of the color on the brooch bordered the image.

  3. Small photo feb 28 9 57 40 am

Set the images aside for now and paint your wooden brooch whatever color strikes your fancy. Be sure to cover the whole thing, front, back, and edges.

  4. Small photo feb 28 11 08 25 am

Time to break out the mod podge!

  5. Small photo feb 28 11 10 35 am

Add a very thin coat to one side of the brooch.

  6. Small photo feb 28 11 11 54 am

Before the thin coat of mod podge dries, stick your image on top and then add another thin coat on top of the image to seal it in.

  7. Small photo feb 28 11 18 25 am

Use some strong glue to attach the pins.

You can optionally attach a chain to the pin backs like I did to add some flair!
