About

I have been wanting to do this for a long time, so I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and found a good substitute for bath salt (because I might be allergic or have an allergic reaction to it) and that is Sea salt!
I tried it out and I made these beauties above!
And when I wore them On my “test trial” I got no strange looks and I even got compliments. This is a perfect and cheap craft that will make a great gift!

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Sea Salt Or Epson salt, The bigger chunks the better
  • Hot Glue
  • Scissors
  • Eyescrew
  • Silicone mold or parchment paper Something that the hot glue can’t stick to
  • Nail Polish Colored, sparkly and or hologram sparkles
  • Modpodge

Steps (6 steps, 150 minutes)

  1. 1

    Gather supplies
Then let your hot glue gun heat up

  2. 2

Use your glue gun to squirt the glue into the shape you want, then pour your sea salt on the shape, make sure that it sticks into the glue.

*warning: you may get burned if your not careful enough. I used my fingers to lightly press the salt into the glue, however you can use a popsicle stick to do so but then you risk messing up the shape or the salt crystals.
But just in case, keep a glass of water near by so that if you do get burned, you can stick your fingers in it quickly and ease the pain and prevent blistering or red marks

  3. 3

If you want to add more salt crystals squirt some more hot glue lightly on the top and sprinkle more sea salt on to it.
Once again careful you don’t burn yourself.
And add your findings to the back with your glue gun set on a lower temperature

  4. 4

okey it dry then peel it off.
Use sicssors to trim off any excess or use it help cut it into shape.

Now you get to paint it!

  5. 5

    Painting:
-if your using a non sparkly color first, paint it on and then once that’s dry or semi dry paint a shimmery nail polish on top. Then once that’s dry, use a holographic/ iridescent/ sparkly nail polish on top of that.

-If you are using a sparkly/ iridescent color already, paint at least two coats then when it’s dry or semi dry, use the holographic/ sparkly nail polish on top so that it has extra shine.

-or if you want a clear Quartz look just pain the holographic/ sparkly nail polish on.

  6. 6

If you want it to look like it has a metal base paint the base of the crystals a nice metallic color, like gold, silver, or black (depending on what color of findings you will use.)
