This should be a very cheap project if you already use hairweaves - like me. It didn't cost me anything at all actually If you don't... ehm.. since I myself, always buy a whole pack with a 45" wide weave in it, I wouldn't really know what just an 11" wide one would cost.. But I guess you can check at some hairdressers :) Since most of my old weaves only get worn out at the ends, I think it's a waste to throw them all away.. Just make something else out of them! ...Like fake bangs :p Perfect for me, because I don't want my own hair to get cut in like that - afraid I will regret it.. But I still want to have some variety, so this is my solution. It can also be helpfull if you are thinking about getting bangs, but you're not sure yet. This way you can try it on first ^_^ Here I used a 1,2"/3cm wide hairband, but ofcourse you can also use a wider or a finer one - as long as it hides the beginning of the weave Mine is also covered with fabric, but if you want to use a plastic one, I suggest you use another -stronger- glue, because I'm not sure nailglue will hold on plastic.. you could try though :)

You should probably straighten the hair first As you will see in the pictures I did not do that - I was stupid enough to forget my straightening iron at my boyfriends house :p
Make sure the weave is about 11 or 12 inches/28-30cm wide
Since one single weave is too thin to create nice full bangs, you'll need to fold the weave...
..and then hand-sew it together with (same shaded) thread
Now you have a nice full weave from about 5,5"/14cm wide
At this step you take the hairband and fit the weave into it. Make sure it's right in the middle and then mark the left or right side of the hairband, where the weave ends (I just marked it with my fingers, but a hairclip can also be useful for this) Now you know from where you can start to put on the glue.
Just begin by putting glue on the first half or so (you'll need to put on quite a lot for it to stick) and then carefully press the weave on to the glued part. Keep pressure on it for like 30 seconds or so
Now you glue on the rest and also keep pressure on it for a little while Make sure it's stuck by pulling the hair carefully. If it's not - ad some more glue and pressure it again
When that's all done you're gonna have to cut it.. But to be sure you don't cut off too much, you first need to put it on and mark the point where you want to cut it (make sure the glue is dry before you do that!) < Makes quite a funnylookin' picture.. Make sure you keep it at least an inch longer than the length you eventually want it to be. I just marked it somewhere under my eye with a hairclip (if you like you can use two hairclips for it, one for each side)
Now cut it at the marks..
The last step is to get it cut straight. You need to put it on and let someone else do it with some good scissors - best someone who knows how to cut hair. I let my friend - who is a hairdresser - do it. If you don't know someone that can do that, I suggest you go to the hairdresser and get it done there :)
