  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 1
    Step 1

Make some fish with clay and paint them. Add 2 layers of nail hardener so they will survive tha water ;)

  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 2
    Step 2

Fill the fish bowl with some stones and water.

  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 3
    Step 3

Now you can use fake plants for the decoration!

  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 4
    Step 4

And also shells are nice to decorate.

  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 5
    Step 5

Maybe it's weird, but I used a hair for this, cause that's the most invisible string I had. Now stretch the long hair over the fish bowl and use invisible tape to hold it on both sides

  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 6
    Step 6

On the picture you see red lines, those are the hair. The thickest is the main hair. And at the arrows there is tape. Hope you understand how the fish swim now in the middle of the bowl and not at the sides. Now it's more realistic when they swim in the middle. The hair is invisible! (almost)

  • How to create art / a model. Fake Aquarium - Step 7
    Step 7

And now you should have a fake aquarium. And if you did it well, it wouldn't look fake at all!

OH MY GOSH WE ARE TWINS. For fun in class, I used to pluck off a hair, tie it around a pen, then around my finger, and spin my finger in a circle and make it look like it was floating. Quite a few teachers asked me how I found string so thin and durable. I told them to shampoo and condition daily lol XD

The hair part is awesome! Wish I could have fish in my apartment, but they are afraid of potential water damage -_-

lol I love that you used hair. I think I'm gonna do this. Use like clear stretchy string that you can use for beads I think that could work. I love this idea mostly because I've always wanted fish but afraid I'd accidentally forget to feed them. <3<3<3
