  • Step 1

Cut the fabric into two pieces each 15" across x (length of extensions)+2"
My extensions are 14" so my fabric was 15" x 16"
    Sew the two pieces together.

  • Step 2

Cut four 4" x 1" rectangles. these will be the flaps that keep the hair from hanging out the bottom.
Sew two of them together, followed by the other two.

  • Step 3

Stitch the two flaps to the center of the top and bottom of the original piece.

  • Step 4

Fold the fabric lengthwise into thirds. the Flaps should be in the center third. Iron.
Cut 4 pieces of ribbon into 9" pieces and pin an equal distance down each crease on either side. These will tie the extensions in place.

  • Step 5

stitch all the way down each crease, making sure the ribbons are sewn down securely.

  • Step 6

sew on the snaps. there should be two per flap (one on either side) and three down the sides so that when it is folded closed it will snap shut.

Been needing something for mine, so thank you for a gerat idea! Think I'll add something to the top so I can hang them up on the wall for when I'm not using them.
