A short silky halter dress for a night on the town!
I had an old ugly bridesmaid dress that was floor length, with hideous straps. I chopped it up, took the extra fabric made it a belt to create a waist line, sewed on a gold button for the halter straps, and then frayed the ends to give it an artsy feel. Now I have a short cute dress for evenings downtown!
