A great way to use the oil extraction method to make essential oils
The ideal here is not only to create an oil that you can wear, but an oil with limited volatility that can actually be used in other projects as well. This does require a fair bit of scientific understanding, or at the very least scientific interest, so I totally nerded out when I started this project.

You’re going to want to start out by coarsely grinding/chopping about 25 grams of whatever coffee you like, the oilier the better. If you try to use the dried up stuff that’s been sitting in your pantry for ages you won’t get a particularly pleasant product. Also make sure that it’s unflavored.

For the oil method you immerse the beans in 60 g of olive oil (to 25 g coffee) and seal in a plastic bag in the fridge, agitating every 12 hours or so for 48 hours. Then strain the oil through a cheesecloth to remove any smaller bits.
