Fabric Paint x Hickies = Epic Running Shoe Makeover
This week’s project should keep you on your toes, ho ho ho. Shoe pun. Yes. I’ve made over my old boring running shoes with a few simple quick steps and some help from a quirky elastic lacing product called Hickies.

I’m a treadmill champion in my own mind, so running shoes are a huge deal. I’ve been drooling over expensive neon pink replacements for a while, but budget-wise, I have bigger fish to fry, so I’ve settled for the grey blah-ness of my grey kicks. Until now...

Find your perfect hue of fabric paint. I learned after the fact that a layer of white under any other color will make it pop. The specific brand I used was Jacquard Textile in #153 Fluorescent Pink, good for natural or synthetic materials.

The next part is optional, but I added Hickies, which are a rubber lace that allows you to pull on your shoe without lacing it up the traditional way (eliminating the need to re-tie mid run).

Once your new laces are in, you're good to go! (So go!)
