1
For this project, you'll need an embroidery hoop (I painted mine white), some fabric you like and a tape measure. Pick an embroidery hoop that's large enough to hold all of your supplies in the middle.
-
2
Cut a square of fabric slightly larger than your embroidery hoop.
-
3
Cut another rectangle of half the height for the pocket.
-
4
Fold the top edge of the pocket over by 1/2" and then over by another 1/2" and pin along the top.
-
5
Sew along this edge, removing the pins as you go.
-
6
If you've got an old tape measure you don't need, you can sew it along the top edge on the front of your pocket. This comes in really handy whenever you need a quick small measurement.
-
7
Place the backing fabric and pouch inside the embroidery hoop and work out where you'd like the pockets to be, marking the lines with pins.
-
8
Sew the vertical lines for the pockets. You don't have to sew along the bottom edge.
-
9
Place the fabric inside your embroidery hoop and tighten into it's final position.
-
10
Use some pinking scissors to cut away excess fabric from the edges.

Fill with supplies and hang on the wall or keep at your sewing desk.
