This handmade jewelry design was specially prepared for the approaching Children’s Day. You will learn to make this featured DIY kids hair accessory that is decorated with shimmering rhinestones. It’s really cute!
Step 1: Cover your table with old newspapers or magazines. Step 2: Prepare a long strip of rhinestone trim and an even longer length of string. Starts by gluing the string onto the inside of you’re blank headband.
Step 3: Wrap the thread around the headband over and over to cover it up.
When you get to the teeth of the headband, only wrap twice between each of them. This will make wrapping the rhinestone chain easier in later steps.
Step 4: After covering the entire headband, glue the end of the string as you did at the beginning. Secure glue drops.
Step 5: Choose the place your rhinestone trim will begin and start wrapping a new strip of thread around the rhinestone chain just like before. Make sure you glue the beginning of the thread in place too.
Step 6: Make sure that the focal rhinestone is symmetrical and remove the excess rhinestone trim and string tail. Secure with glue as well.
