just made 3 batches, now chilling in the fridge and tomorrow will dip them in dark chocolate. I made raspberry and coloured it pink, mint and coloured it green and orange and yep you guessed it!! Was in the middle of making rose flavoured and coloured a lilac shade but ran out of icing sugar!!

I guess you could also separate the mixture into different bowls in order to make them different flavours, smaller quantities of different tastes. And colours

I would advise just stirring both together, since whipping will probably not produce the consistency you want.

so you whip the icing sugar and the double cream together to a firm consistency?

This is great--thanks for reminding me of thse! My mom used to make these, but by coloring the paste pink and green, rolling it into small balls, coating them in granulated sugar, and then pressing them into candy presses. They look delicious this way, too! :-D

Nope, no baking needed at all. Happy

I wouldn't whip it.

An American/Canadian substitute is heavy cream or heavy whipping cream. ^^
