Make a delicate friend to brighten your space!
These airy little paper songbirds are the easiest thing in the world. A few cuts, a little glue, and you can bring the sound of spring to your space, even in the dead of winter!

    Start by cutting two strips of paper. You can make them just about any length and thickness you’d like. The only hard and fast rule is that they must be the same thickness, and the one for the head should be shorter. I used 3/4″ for the thickness, and 6″ and 2″ for the length.

    Next, glue the shorter strip to make a circle. This will be the bird’s head.

    You’re also going to make a loop out of the longer strip. You’ll want about a inch to stick out from the loop to form the bird’s tail.

    Now, cut the ends of the long strips to look like feathers.

    Glue the head to the top of the body loop.

    Cut a diamond shape from the yellow paper. Glue it to the front of the bird to create a beak.

    Use the Sharpie to add eyes and you're done!
