My aunt gave me this recipe and I made it for a family gathering, now I'm the official maker of that recipe. Everyone asks for seconds and leftovers. Little do they know how easy it is. However, this is not a recipe for those who are trying to watch their weight. It's total comfort food.

My aunt gave me this recipe and I made it for a family gathering, now I'm the official maker of that recipe. Everyone asks for seconds and leftovers. Little do they know how easy it is. However, this is not a recipe for those who are trying to watch their weight. It's total comfort food.

Instructions

  1. Grease casserole dish with butter. Cut up Velveeta into chunks for melting. I usually start to boil the water now. Set your oven to bake around 350-375 depending on your oven.

  2. In a saucepan on medium heat, melt the stick of butter. Once it's melted add the flour and stir. Slowly add the milk to the mixture.

  3. Once that's all mixed, add the Velveeta. I like to keep stirring until it's totally melted and there aren't any big chunks floating around. Add your spices.

  4. By this time your pasta should be ready, only cook it for about 6 minutes because you don't want it to be too mushy.

  5. Remove the mixture from the heat. Put the drained pasta into the casserole dish. Add the cheese mixture. (You do not need to stir the pasta and cheese. You only need to pour it in and that's when it looks like the picture above. That's the pre-bake picture.)

  6. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and some butter.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes.

  8. Eat and be merry!
