Use those leftover plastic Easter eggs to make cute, egg shaped bath bombs in pastel colors for Spring. Easy to find ingredients.
Whisk all your dry ingredients in a medium bowl. If you want to skip the cornstarch or the Epsom salts, go ahead. As long as you keep a ratio of 2 parts baking soda to 1 part citric acid, these will work. You can also use a nicer oil than baby oil, like jojoba or coconut. You could even use olive oil. I use baby oil because it’s cheap and I have it around the house. But feel free to get fancy.
Now mix all your wet ingredients into a separate bowl. I added 8 drops of food coloring to my wet ingredients. Add the wet to the dry, a little at a time. Stir while adding the liquid so your mixture doesn’t fizz. Keep adding liquid until mixture sticks together in a clump when you squeeze it (You may not need all the liquid).
Pack the bath bomb mixture into your plastic eggs fairly firmly. Let dry overnight. To unmold, carefully unmold the short end of the egg, then gently pull the bath bomb out of the mold. *Once you use the eggs for bath bombs, don’t put candy in them. They take on the smell of the essential oils.
