You can replace the sugar by brown sugar, honey or ice cream.

Pick or buy strawberries.
Wash strawberries in tepid water. If you buy sprayed strawberries, the spray will only wash off properly in tepid water, because it's meant to be resistent against rain. Don't use water that's too warm or you'll boil your strawberries. ;-)
(optional) Add a tablespoon of white sugar or brown sugar. you can also use liquid honey or a big scoop of your favourite ice cream.
