Artisan Style Rhinestone Bezel set and Ear Jacket Faux Pearl Earring Sets with Upcycled Bauble Cluster Rings
I had wanted to come up with something fun for summer, and had been looking at ear jacket style earrings for a while. I decided to take on a classic (pearl) and add something trendy to it for the faux pearl set. I used ring findings and old clip on earrings as the base for the rings. I also love the look of bezel set stones, so decided to do a variant on that as well. One hour of active time and 24 hours of curing for the Sugru makes this project a great quick endeavor.

Cover the ring in Sugru, making sure the layer is thick enough to stick rhinestones into, but not so thick they will get buried.

Start to cover in whatever pattern of rhinestones you want to. I used a random pattern wherever they would fit. I also used three different sized rhinestones.

    Step 9

For faux pearl earrings, I sketched out a shape of how I wanted the pearls to show- four across- under my ear. I came up with this shape and made two of them.

Again, make sure it is thick enough that you can make sure the faux pearls are secure. This will now act as your earring back. Let it cure for 24 hours and then position it on the ear and poke a hole where you want it to stay.
