You Will Need (6 things)

  • Cardboard
  • Glue
  • Magazine(s)
  • Scissors
  • Packaging Tape
  • Hole Punch

Steps (11 steps, 15 minutes)

  1. 1

Cut a 1 1/4” x 3 1/4” piece of cardboard. Find a image from a magazine and cut out enough of the page to fully cover both sides of the cardboard piece.

  2. 2

Add your all purpose glue to one side of the cardboard piece.

  3. 3

Center image over the glued side of cardboard and fold over the sides.

  4. 4

Glue the other side and fold over the extra paper. Make sure that the entire cardboard piece is covered. You can trim any extra paper thats left over.

  5. 5

Place a piece of clear packaging tape sticky side up in the center of your work area and place the earbud holder into the center of the tape. Repeat on the other side. Your earbud holder will be enclosed in a laminate like clear envelope. Smooth sides and clear any air bubbles with your finger nail.

  6. 6

Cut off excess clear tape leaving a 1/16” tape border to keep earbud holder sealed.

  7. 7

Using an office 3-hole punch (Single hole hand punches are not strong enough to pierce through)-- punch a hole on each opposite side. From an 1/4“ from each side. One hole should be on the top and one should be on the bottom.

  8. 8

The punched holes should look like this.

  9. 9

Using sharp scissors, cut a a slit into each hole. The slits should big enough to fit the earbud wire.

  10. 10

Your completed earbud holder should look
something like this.

  11. 11

To wrap the earbuds: slide the cord through the slit and wrap. Secure the rest of the cord through the second hole.
    Awesome!
