About

was watching Project Runway last week and saw one of the competitors wearing this cute black stretch headband about 4 inches wide with a button and a bow on the side. I decided I'd try my luck at making one and learned the hard way that the bias is extremely important if I want it to fit. I cut it the wrong way so the fabric barely stretches, then made a loop and sewed on the button. This was my first time sewing knit fabric, and luckily I had a ball point needle, which is still very sharp, so I don't see how it could be called a ball point.

I can also put it around my neck like a collar/cowl with the button at an angle, and it looks SO COOL. I see the knit collars all the time, and while I had it around my neck to push over my face, I realized how pretty it looked with my black shirt and Siamese Twin necklace.

If a few people want me to, I'll turn this into a How-To with options for a one-piece with a bow and button.
