Dreamcatcher Earrings

With helix piercing

I always wanted to have dreamcatcher earrings and I also needed new earrings for my helix so I thought, lets combine those two. It would have saved me a lot of time if I tried to make a bigger dreamcatcher because it is not that easy to make such a tiny dreamcatcher. I tried to make photos but they turned out really vague. My tutorial is not very understandable, I strongly recommend looking for another dreamcatcher tut. Make sure you keep the loops tight for the best result.

Instructions

  1. Small stap 1

Close your big jump ring. Mine did not close completely so I used tape to make it easier to work with.

  2. Small stap 2

Cut a piece of thread and put it through your small chains. Attach it on the ring and make a knot. Make the first loop. Attach two small chains on the feather bead and put the thread through the chain. Make the second loop and put the thread trough the second small chains an make more loops. I fully understand that you don't get this. I mean, this is really vague. I don't think my wonderful drawings are making it understandable either. Just look for a dreamcatcher tutorial on this site.

  3. Small stap 3

Make a second row. Make a knot.

  4. Small stap 4

Seal the knots with nail polish.

  5. Small stap 5

    Attach the earring hook.

  6. Small stap 6

Measure how long you want the chains. Make one shorter than the other. Attach them to the little ring on the stud. Then attach them on the earring hook. I have my right ear pierced. this picture is for the left ear.

  7. Small stap 7

Decorate the stud with beads, rinstones or leave it the way it is. Remove the tape, but be careful. The tread could slip away and then you have to start all over. Last step, wear proudly :)
