First, measure and cut 2 pieces of fabric to the size you would like, the bags I make are 5x8 inches. Then with the fabric facing pattern side out fold down the top 1/2 an inch, iron down the fold and sew leaving enough room to fit the ribbon through. After doing this to both pieces place them pattern sides together (you can pin them together if it's easier, but i don't)starting right under the fold and stopping at the other fold sew the 3 sides together leaving the top open. I use the foot of the machine as my guide. Next cut 2 pieces of ribbon double, plus 4 inches of how big your bag is. Mine are 5 inches so i cut my ribbon 14 inches long. Turn the bag inside out, which will be the side you want showing in the end, and with a safety pin put the ribbon through the open holes of the bag and tie a knot at the ends. Your bag is complete!
