Steal a button-down shirt from your dad. Or, do what I did and go to a thrift store and buy one. xD Doesn't have to be white, dark reds are adorable as medieval clothing too, or try a light patterned fabric for a fashion victim style! Cut off the collar and make a thing that is called a "submarine neckline" in germany. ^^ Pretty wide, not straight but a bit curved on the sleeves. The width is up to you, but it works best when the shirt easily slides down your shoulders when you're not holding it up. Shorten the sleeves, BIT BY BIT! Don't make them too short too quick. You can always cut more in the end!

There are people who might wanna cut away the botton part and sew close, but I like to keep this! Just sew it close along the inner side of the buttons so you could still unbutton, but not reach through. Does that make any sense to you? >___<

Create a tunnel on the neckline and on the sleeves. To do that, just fold about an inch or more of the fabric inside, pin down and sew a straight seam ( aargh!!! ). It might get tricky on the sleeves as you need a curve, the picture shows what I did to avoid trouble. Any professional seamstress might wanna kill me for that, but... well... xD I just made a cut and pinned the rest straight, later sewing just as if nothing happened. this will instantly create a hole to put the elastic in later. Yay! Hem the sleeves too, also leaving a gap to put in the elastic.

Cut a piece of elastic. Make it fit around your shoulders easily and add a few inch, cause we can always make it shorter AFTER putting it in... Cut two equal parts for the sleeves, also fitting nicely along your arm plus x. Pinch one end of every elastic on a safety pin and manoever the elastic through the tunnels that way, shoulders first, cramping thumbs included. Hold the ends while putting it on and decide how tight it has to be. The piece should sit on your shoulders easily without slipping and without being uncomfortable. When you found the right length, sew the ends together and repeat the same on the sleeves.

Add a corset and admire yourself. <3
