I really like wooden bracelets, especially when hand painted, but most of the time they are very expensive, so I decided to make them myself! It's very easy, the only difficult part can be drilling the holes (because the pins are very thin) good luck!

Description

I really like wooden bracelets, especially when hand painted, but most of the time they are very expensive, so I decided to make them myself! It's very easy, the only difficult part can be drilling the holes (because the pins are very thin) good luck!

Instructions

  1. 1. you need about 9 wooden clothespins

  2. 2. take them apart (you can save the iron parts, these can be used for jewelry as well!)

  3. 3. take a saw and remove a part of the clothespins, so that they are more even

  4. 4. drill 2 small holes at the side of each clothespin (these holes are for the elastic thread)

  5. 5. take two pieces of elastic thread and staple the clothespins

  6. 6. now the most fun part, paint your bracelet! you can use a cocktail spike to make small polkadots, but you can also use a brush! another great idea is to make your own stamps (you can use an eraser or a potatoe, cut out a shape you like and use the stamp to design the bracelet)

  7. 7. when paint is dry; use clear varnish to make your bracelet a bit more waterproof and your done! enjoy and good luck!
