You Will Need (3 things)

  • Stapler
  • Scissors
  • Aluminum Foil

Steps (22 steps, 45 minutes)

  1. 1

Cut two 1-1.5 inch strips from the paper, lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Staple the ends together.

  3. 3

Rip strips of aluminum foil and begin to fold around the strips.

  4. 4

There will be quite a few raw edges that you want to cover up.

  5. 5

Fold your aluminum-covered shape in half. Take one huge piece of aluminum foil that is twice the length of the folded piece and cover the circle so there are no raw edges.

  6. 6

    You'll fold

  7. 7

    And roll

  8. 8

    Fold

  9. 9

    And roll

  10. 10

Until the whole circle has been covered.

  11. 11

Then you want to fold the shape in on itself until there is no more foil left to roll.

  12. 12

Press down so the bottom becomes a flattened edge.

  13. 13

Shape the circle back into the heart shape it was before yo covered it in foil.

  14. 14

Heat the burner to low-med heat. Low is best.
Using one hand, press down on the mold and with the other hand pour in the omelette mixture. Hold down the mold for 30 seconds.

  15. 15

If a little bit of egg mixture leaks out it's okay. The majority should stay in.

  16. 16

After about a minute, add your toppings and pour in some water. Cover immediately. The trapped steam will partially cook the top of the omelette so that you can more easily remove the omelette mold.

  17. 17

After a couple of minutes, cut around the edges with a knife.

  18. 18

Peel the mold back with a fork to be sure that your edges are clean.

  19. 19

Then gently pull up on the mold and remove it from the omelet.

  20. 20

Trim it to perfect the shape you intended the omelette to be - in my case, a heart.

  21. 21

Set the mold aside. You can clean it or throw it away - recycling the aluminum.

  22. 22

Broil for 30 seconds to a minute to thoroughly melt the cheese and serve!
