It's easy and fun to turn an old thrift store dress into a cute new maxi skirt.
It's easy and fun to turn an old thrift store dress into a cute new maxi skirt.
Find a long, huge thrift store dress, with a fabric you like.
Cut off the top of the dress.
Cut extra fabric off the sides.
Sew new side seams.
Use fabric cut from sides to make a new waistband.
With right sides together, pin and sew waistband.
Fold over and sew a small casing in the top of the waistband. Thread the drawstring through the casing.
