You Will Need (5 things)

  • 1 inch thick Wooden Board
  • Nail(s)
  • Hammer
  • white or blue String
  • Snowflake Template

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

I downloaded this snowflake vector from the internet, you can create your own or download any kind of snowflake as you want. Print out the pattern according to the wooden board size.

  2. 2

Place the printed pattern on the wooden board. Select a starting point and place the nail on the pattern, hold it firmly. Hammer the nail half way through the wooden board. carefully hammer the nails along the sides of the snowflake pattern to trace the outline.

  3. 3

After you're done hammering the nails carefully tear off the paper.

  4. 4

Take a white string without cutting it from the bundle. Wrap and tie a knot with it around a nail on the side. I started from the bottom point of the snowflake. Firstly wrap the string around the border of the snowflake. I wrapped the string around the border twice to make the outline visible.

  5. 5

After tracing the outline start to fill the snowflake by wrapping the string around nails randomly inside the outline. While wrapping the string randomly around the nails make sure to keep a nice and sound pattern. Done wrapping? Bring the string to a side nail. Wrap it around the nail, tie 2 knots and cut off extra string.
